On Saturday 3rd July 2010 a recital by Gordon Fergus-Thompson took place at the Wesley chapel in Harrogate. Many of Christine Brown's past pupils and friends attended and over £2000 was raised towards the Christine Brown Trust.

Gordon played a wonderful programme culminating in a brilliant performance of Scriabin's 3rd piano sonata. He then delighted the audience when he played Brahms' Intermezzo in A op 118 as an encore. At the beginning of the second half of the concert, Gordon said a few words about his time as a pupil of Christine and what she had meant to him as a teacher.
During the interval, music and CD's from Christine's vast collection were available to purchase. Sales made on the night also helped to raise funds for the Trust.
The Trust would like to thank all who supported the concert and in particular a big thanks to the Wesley chapel for the use of their wonderful venue.
The English pianist, Gordon Fergus-Thompson made a sensational debut at the Wigmore Hall in 1976. Following that he firmly established himself as a major recitalist and concerto player.

He is much in demand as a lecture recitalist and also has given master-classes and lectures at the Royal College of Music and in all the major University Music Faculties in the UK, as well as in the USA, Australasia and the Far East.
